Everyone loves a burger and there is no substitute for a homemade version, it's the ultimate comfort food!
If you thought making your own burgers was time consuming and difficult to do, then think again. This Single Non-Stick Burger Press makes light work of making your own tasty creations.
The first thing is to decide what sort of meat you are going to use. Most people would opt for minced beef, but minced pork would work just as well or you could try minced turkey for a healthy alternative. Add a diced onion, seasoning and flavourings of your choosing and bind together with an egg. That's your patty mix ready..... in no time at all.
Place a disc of waxed paper on the base of the press and a suitable sized ball of your mince on top, followed by another disc of paper. Push the lid of the press down and remove any excess meat from the outside. Open the lid to reveal your round, perfectly formed burger patty sandwiched between waxed paper.
If you don't want to cook all your burgers instantly, they can be frozen ready for another occasion. To cook, simply remove the wax paper and place on the grill. Thanks to their uniform size, you don't need to adjust the cooking time for each burger and as the meat has been compressed, it should hold together better as it is cooked.
This press is so easy to use and will make burger patties, approximately 11cm in diameter. The thickness can be altered by turning the adjustment screw on the handle up or down as required, providing a patty between 0.6 and 3.8cm thick.
