If you love smoked food, this is the outdoor oven for you. Compact and easy to use, it does not have to stay in the garden - it is also ideal for taking on picnics, fishing trips or for use on camping trips.
All kinds of fish can be smoked and you can choose to vary the flavour by selecting different wood chippings. Trout and mackerel are particularly tasty, especially if they have been freshly caught, but you can also smoke cod, haddock, coley and many other fish with excellent results time after time.
It is not simply fish that can be smoked in the Callow outdoor smoker oven, as any meat that you would normally barbecue can also be prepared in this way. Steaks, chops, chicken and even burgers and sausages can be smoked using flavoured wood chippings or pellets. These are available in hickory, oak, cherry, sweet chestnut, pecan and many other interesting flavours to give real variety to your culinary creations. Vegetables can also be given the same treatment, meaning that there is no need for your vegetarian friends to miss out on the fun.
The smoker can only be used outdoors, but this does not mean that you cannot create special dishes for your dinner party with it. Plan ahead and smoke some trout to be made into pate for a delicious starter, or perhaps offer your guests some smoked chicken canapés before the meal. In addition to using wood chippings, you can experiment with alternatives such as tea leaves to add a different taste to your food.
The smoker is very straightforward to use - simply fill the burners under the smoker with methylated spirits and light. Sprinkle a few wood chips, pellets or some sawdust of your choice on the base of the smoker before adding your food on the rack and covering with the lid. There is a valve regulator in the lid, which means you can easily adjust the cooking and smoking time to your choice.
The smoker is constructed from stainless steel, making it easy to keep clean. The operation just could not be simpler and you will find that over time you develop your own individual recipes by experimenting with different foods, flavours and cooking times.

Really pleased with the smoker. I’ve used it twice now. Second time I did two trout at the same time and had no problems at all. They tasted great. I placed my order on a Monday and it was here Tuesday lunchtimes.

23 November 2018 by: LornaArrived very well packed and in good condition, slight marking to the lid, but not a problem at all. Easy to put together and works perfectly! We smoked 4 huge cakes of Burmese Tofu and there was still some space, so I added in a portion of chickpeas (smoked houmous is even tastier than the usual houmous) everything was ready in half an hour and tasted delicious. The unit was quite easy to clean, don't expect to get it back to looking like new though, there is some discolouration after using, but that's to be expected. Overall - great purchase and experience, a good price too, can't find it cheaper anywhere else, everyone should have one! :)
Adds variety to Al Fresco eating

We don’t barbeque because it’s too much hassle but we found this to be a quick and easy way to add variety to our food and cook outside Using the easy to follow guidance leaflet we found the equipment is easy to set up and stable in use on a flat surface. We have tried trout and chicken [butter flied] which we brined. Only a couple of tablespoons of wood were needed and I spray soaked them for 30 mins before. It’s simple and safe to lift off the lid to check the meat [we have a meat thermometer to test the internal temperature]. The trout took about 20 minutes. Our dinner guest wasn’t keen on fish but the lovely golden colour tempted her and she was won over by the soft juicy texture. We also tried the chicken marinade in the leaflet which took about 30 mins and although the amount of fuel was underestimated it was easy to top it up. Next time we will experiment with the valve. Obviously the base changes colour permanently due to the heat and we soaked the cooking tray and racks in cold water before cleaning which was relatively straightforward. .

16 May 2017 by: MattWhat a beauty! I have used a Cameron's lil smokey before and was expecting this to be if similar size but it's much bigger. The burners give good heat control but are hard to adjust with the smoker on top. So far I have successfully smoked some chicken and mackerel. Make sure you use methylated spirit in the burners, I used white spirit first on my first use and ended up with a rather sooty mess to clean up.
